our street, 3/17/05Today marks the beginning of the last week of 2005. Time to bless and say farewell to all that needs to be released. The word "twilight" comes to mind.
I looked up what exactly the word means after I've been feeling, or intuiting, this word for this week's project. Here's what Webster has to say about it: "(noun) 1. the light from the sky between full night and sunrise or between sunset and full night produced by diffusion of sunlight through the atmosphere and its dust. 2. an intermediate state that is not clearly defined."
That sounds about right to me.

I've always loved the word twilight. That somehow the light is "twi" and "twi" means magical. Sage too took to the word the moment he heard it. And he loves to identify twilight. He'll wait, and wait until the transition time is really in full swing; the sun has set, the pinks are gone and everything is a glowing blue. Then he'll announce that it's twilight.
There's something so precious about a fleeting transition, but one that changes the appearance of everything in the world is nothing short of magic. Though the next phase may be darkness, or lovely moonlit silver, we can always smile in fondness for that glowing time when everything shifted and our hearts thrilled with ethereal blue.
